Unless china is convicted in some manner, they did nothing illegal.

That goes along with a long list of politicians. If a politician commits a crime and noone is their to witness it means they didn't commit a crime! Circular reasoning, I think.

80-yr-old Nancy Pelosi narrowly wins vote to retain seat as Speaker of the House.

Pelosi won with 216 votes to 209 for Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R).

Why is this in the COVID Cult thread?

Two Democrats who tested positive for the virus last month and say they have recovered voted for Pelosi from the House floor: Wisconsin Rep. Gwen Moore and Washington state Rep. Rick Larsen.

Notice how the MSM phrased that?  "...who tested positive for the virus last month..." tries to make us think, "Oh, well that was a month ago."  NOPE!  Moore tested positive on Dec 28th.  They might as well have said they tested positive "last year."  Fucking fake news sucks.

Anyway, they allowed a Dem who tested positive for Covid-19 ONE WEEK BEFORE THE VOTE to appear on the floor of the house -- around many who are well within the high-risk groups for death if infected.

BTW, Moore did not test Negative before traveling, and she claims she was in quarantine for 2 weeks.  How is that possible when she only tested positive 6 days before the floor vote for speaker?  If she quarantined a week earlier, she could not have been infected by Dec 28th.  Hmmm....

She also tweeted that Trump should remain quarantined after his test was positive so he's not spreading the virus.  Hypocrites?  Democrats?  Redundant.

If you think the people yelling "Follow the science!" actually know what "The Science" actually is, you're not paying attention.   :geekdanc:

You're looking at this from a logical, rational perspective.  You're supposed to pick your favorite scientist, and only listen to what they tell us.  Prevents confusion when you filter out anything that isn't coming from "your guy".

You follow the largest group/number of scientists that agree on the data and result.

AKA if 8/10 agree on something vs 2/10.  You should tend to believe the 8/10.

Yeah, because "Science" and "Consensus" are synonyms.

For every one time that happened there are thousands that remained true to the concensus.  Remember it's the job of the minority to convince the majority then it becomes the new majority.

It's the role of every scientist to be skeptical of any new "truths", especially if the consensus was based on shared research funded by government grants.

Seems excessive for covid, but under certain other pandemic situations I am quite sure even people on this forum would support such a law.

The purpose of such a law would not be to protect the public, but an excuse for mass detention of political disagreeables
