Submitted opposition to the bill.  Glad we can unite on something regardless of politics, religion, ethics, etc.

Was it really necessary to add that second sentence?

It's troubling to think where your mind must be when posting this kind of comment.

No I'm just trying to highlight that we can all find some common ground.  It was supposed to be positive and uplifting,  but as usual you found some way to make it bad...

Your attempt at a "positive and uplifting " comment has a backhanded insult embedded in it, as if politics, religion, and ethics have nothing to do with this topic.

This topic is 100% politics.  Legal and Activism are pure politics.

As usual, you want this to be about how you feel.  By saying you're glad this isn't involving politics, religion, and ethics, you've injected those very things into the thread.

I disagree.  Democrats, republicans and independents can believe in 2a, and testify against these anti 2a laws.  Its not about politics, but rights.  Also these laws are not a political party. Religion has nothing to do with these laws, nor does ethics discussed on this forum recently.

You assume everyone on this forum agrees with the opinions posted.  I guarantee there is someone here who thinks 10 rd limits for all firearms is a good idea.

Stop painting everyone with labels.  You claim to not agree with labels, but you always use them to make arguments.

Where in my post did I label people here?

Submitted testimony, should have said I would testify via zoom. Is Hifico going to have someone testifying?

663 testimonies collected at the HIFICO website and paper testimonies and submitted this morning.  Keep sending them in!

Should have 150 to 250 more on the capitol website, so approaching that 1,000 testimonies mark.

Democrats are drunk with power these days, odds are they will just ignore what the people want.

"If you do pass this law and believe it will decrease illegal fire arm use, all law enforcement should turn in their fire arms as there will be no need to have one as all citizens would be unarmed and use of a fire arm by law enforcement would constitute "excessive force."

One of the 8 or 10 testimonies (out of 1100+ in opposition) in support of SB301 said it out loud...what we all know is the real agenda... total civilian disarmament... though they like to pretend it's only "this or that" that needs to be banned at the moment... you know, for "public safety". Rhoads et al. are fucking liars and traitors

There is no rrational [sic] eason [sic] for regular citizens to also have them [firearms].

That such a person uses the term "rational reason" is hilarious.

If she's the one I found online, she's a retired professor at University of Hawai'i at Manoa - William S. Richardson School of Law.

These are the people teaching our children.

She may also be an officer for the state's Green Party.

WOW!!! Awesome job on the testimony. Of the 1167 pages of testimony the first 679 are just via HiFiCo. Haven't finished going through the rest of them yet, but a rough estimate is about a dozen in support and the rest in opposition. Mistakenly, one person "supported" the bill when he really opposes it by reading his testimony. https://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/Session2021/Testimony/SB301_TESTIMONY_JDC_02-12-21_.PDF

Side note Fevella emailed me back saying he will vote no.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.
