If my understand is correct, the initial trials were limited to people in certain categories so the "proven safe" is for certain groups. That is why it isn't yet approved for young kids.

So additional trials may be underway to study certain other groups like certain age groups or people with certain medical conditions, etc.
Could be larger sample size needed as stages are reached. I did tell omni that i wont hold him to his estimate, which he said was 40,000.

I just heard a local doctor (OBGYN I think) covering this subject. She explained that the placenta destroys RNA(mRNA?) so the vaccine can't make it to the baby in utero however antibodies can make it through so the baby will have the benefit of already having antibodies when born. She strongly advised pregnant women to get the vaccine, said the numbers of pregnant women with covid went way up locally. (can't recall if they just tested positive or were admitted)
On paper looks safe. But time is the true test. Downs, autism, ADD, etc...

I listened to both sides, the hard core vaccine pushers and the anti-vaxers but when I looked at just the data and listened to sources who appeared to be unbiased and reliable it is hard to argue against taking the vaccine. The vaccine pushers are preachy, annoying, and overly scared of covid but the anti-vaxers (generally) have arguments that are so often scientifically wrong or ignorant (though sometimes reasonable on the surface)

The warp speed process took a bad system and made it worse. It is reckless to assume the process has been unbiased and reliable when you have pharma companies throwing billions of dollars around and a revolving door policy for the regulators. The agencies who are in charge of keeping the foxes out of the hen house collect paychecks from the foxes, and that does not even go into the authoritarian wave of censorship that has swept across the country where medical professionals are having their careers destroyed and others are too terrified to speak up.

If you are not allowed to point out inconsistencies that is not science. If scientists and medical personnel are being threatened into staying quiet that is not science. And pinning all our hopes on experimental drugs while neglecting promising preventions and treatments (sorry no can help, come back when you are almost dead) is definitely not science.
Stop blaming lazy people. We didn’t do anything.

Protocols are in place prior to an emergency for a reason.

I did get the vaccine but I waited a while. I am also pretty sure I had covid back in Feb 2020 and I am relatively healthy so I am not in a high risk group and probably had some resistance already. The uncertainties of a vaccine approved in a record short amount of time and using a new(ish) form of medical technology did and still does cause me concern. I just hope to god this thing doesn't cause serious health problems for the younger generations. I did wonder, what if this vaccine was designed to do what Thanos did, wipe out half the population randomly. Every other dose has something that would kill us later or sterilize us.

But when I look at the numbers, if we take it simply as a gamble, then the vaccine is far far safer than catching covid.

I listened to both sides, the hard core vaccine pushers and the anti-vaxers but when I looked at just the data and listened to sources who appeared to be unbiased and reliable it is hard to argue against taking the vaccine.  I am strongly against the government forcing the vaccine on anyone but I do support carrot approaches to get more people vaccinated. The one thing that does scare me is if hospitals are overrun by serious covid infections and that prevents me from obtaining some needed medical help. I will say that I am still hesitant to let my children get the vaccine.

What data and what unbiased sources are you looking at?

Get if you want.  Don't get it if you don't want.  None of your business whether or not I got it and why.  My business.  Your irrational fear or desire to control the unknown doesn't override freedoms.  Anyways, JMO. . .

This is 1 big problem. For every doc or scientist u can find for 1 side, u can find another in opposite.

Here is what we do know, the CDC has been wrong on more than 1 occasion.

The media is pushing the jab heavily.

Very little coverage for treatments or prevention like weight loss. Only treatments that did get major media focus was when Trump mentioned them.

What should be the big issue is bring forced to take a new jab that hasnt been approved by the FDA.

Not really.   If you have a transmitable disease.  It's your duty to tell others.   Imagine how much stds and other viruses would be spread with that attitude.   When your health effects others it's no longer only your personal business.

Hey, Moron.

Since when is "have a transmissible disease" in any way remotely similar to "has been vaccinated?"

Do you have any connected synapses that fire in sequence?

Its about the risk,  hence if you always have an option to test weekly.  That's good enough instead of a vaccine.

You said, "If you have a transmitable [sic] disease.  It's your duty to tell others."

Yet, if you don't know if I'm vaccinated, you want to still treat me as if I am infected.

This is not about risk.  If it was, we'd all be wearing N-95 masks now instead of ineffective pieces of cloth on our faces.

It is your duty, either prove you are not infected or have a vaccine which implies you are not infected.   I wear a n95 mask indoors at high risk areas, I am also vaccinated.
