Cohen is an affirmed liar.  He under-reported his taxable income by about $5M, he lied about paying for Daniel's silence, and he sent statements to the Trump organization for legal fees every month to get paid back the money he'd used -- which he fraudulently obtained using a Home Equity Line of credit.  And this is the man you choose to believe.

So, Cohen got convicted in part because he was stupid.  If the Trump Org was going to reimburse him for taking out a HELOC to pay Daniels, PLUS taxes and interest/expenses, PLUS a bonus, why the hell would be try to hide $4M-$5M of income from the IRS?  I guess greed is a powerful motivator.

I think Trump's biggest weakness has been his trust of people that should not have been trusted.  Cohen proved to be a criminal in his own right.

Cohen went to prison and the court case revealed proof the Cohen performed this action at the direction of Trump. You can't direct someone to commit a crime, have them go to prison, and expect not to have consequences. It's not political. Just wait for the other indictments to follow. Should be interesting.

I agree with this whataboutism.  The docs are currently sealed, so the media is speculating.  And with their current speculation, it would be a nothing burger.  2 other times they tried to get Trump on this and there wasn't enough evidence of a crime committed.  Letter from Stormy saying she never had an affair and is stating so not under a NDA.  And letter from Cohen saying he chose to pay her and never got reimbursed.  With these 2 keys, the other 2 attempts fell short.

But what I do disagree with you about is that "this better not be a political thing".  This is 100% political. Esp when the DA said that he's making it a priority to go after Trump.  This alone should cause zero indictments as he is no longer neutral.

There will be zero damage from this nothing burger to the left.  Like Russia, the media will cover for them and sweep it under the rug.  It can only strengthen support from those who already don't trust the fake news.  TDS'ers won't learn or change their minds.

This indictment really isn't comparable to the impeachments. A grand jury decides whether there is enough evidence to proceed. Impeachments are really just political actions and should not be taken inherently as indicative of whether there is actually sufficient evidence.

A better comparison would be the democrat candidate who was charged with similar things for covering up his mistress. His name escapes me but he was never convicted and the charges weren't real strong.

I wish media would stop speculating, just mention he is charged and that the documents are sealed so the evidence and allegations are not yet public. Next story.

The DA is very suspect and the politics cannot be ignored but what I meant was that the evidence better be there. The DA can be political if he wants as long as his case is good. I could have made that clearer, the basis of the case better be more than just politics. Prosecutors get to be political and should never be considered neutral.

I pretty much agree with everything you said. Personally as a “maga” guy if I see strong evidence I’ll accept it for what it is, no one is above the law. However the larger issue will be whether ALL politicians get the same treatment in the future. What I won’t accept is “my side” or people who fight for my beliefs getting tossed in jail while the democrats get to continue doing whatever the hell they want. I better see indictments on both sides.

I don't think this is really about the indictment i think this is about getting Trump supporters angry so they can stage a false flag event where Antifa, BLM, FBI confidential informants and others infiltrate and dress up as Trump MAGA supporters and stage a riot and blame Trump supporters for starting a Civil War.  Like they tried with January 6 which failed and starting to fall apart with all the videos being shown.
