And that is why I think Trump actually wanted to be indicted. Regardless of whether there is anything in this burger, Trump is benefiting from the coverage. He is in the news, getting massive amounts of free publicity and people are sending him millions of dollars.

Now he goes on making comments about the district attorney and attacking the judge just dominating the spotlight some more and the media is falling for it as usual. Attacking the judge seems like an actual bad mood that might make things worse for him but I would be curious to hear from a defense attorney on that one.

I don tthink anyone wants to get indicted.  But he def will capitalize off of it. I mean he's given lemons all the time.  So why shouldn't he capitalize?  This is what the left doesn't understand. Reminds me of that Seinfield eppisode with Kathy Griffon on how Jerry ignores her and she runs out of material.

With regard to his comments, it might be a wise move, and good thing we have the 1st amendment.  I dont  think things could get worst for him in this kangaroo court show.  And he might be able to argue later any retaliation the judge makes.

The unfortunate thing about this is that there are many who support Trump and think the "gloves are off" now, which means DNC can be held to the same standard. Like Biden and his CCP dealings, Hunter, Hillary, etc...This is a false hope that they believe in.  There is no way any DNC person will be held to the same standard as Trump.  Why, because the DNC controls the media, flow of info, and government agencies.

I don't mean to imply that he somehow planned to be indicted, rather I mean that I think he is happy to be indicted on a charge that looks pretty weak because he knows he wont serve any time and likely won't be convicted and he has basically just made $5 million by flying to New York. I think he is fleecing his followers with this, but that's another topic.

With regard to his comments, it might be a wise move, and good thing we have the 1st amendment. 

His speech is protected but it isn't smart. Even if the judge does not consciously steer the case against Trump due to his comments he may still create an unconscious bias which won't serve him well. If a cop stops you for speeding, and you give him the middle finger I would bet you are more likely to get a ticket than if you hadn't. I doubt it is part of some legal defense strategy though.

I wouldn't paint this as a nationwide thing. It is a New York District attorney doing his own thing, the DNC doesn't have any control over it nor does anyone in congress.

If you can't do the time. Don't do the crime. After he is determined guilty the judge will get to sentence him. He should be more respectful. If he can't be controlled he may end up in a more restrictive environment. This is a criminal case and the judge absolutely has the power to take him into custody if that is required to keep him from instigating violence.
