K-Var has many polymer stock sets for milled AK rifles. In order to put on a folding stock you have to remove the bottom tang or both tangs. Ace has folding stock adapters available and FAB Defense is working on releasing their milled AK stock adapters. As far as I know grips for stamped and milled models are interchangeable. I went with the US Palm grip and it fit just fine.
For a muzzle brake many are available for both 14x1LH and 24x1.5RH threaded barrels. What model of AK do you have?

Thanks for the info

Very nice choice, looks like we were lucky pre panic buyers.

For muzzle brakes there are several that come in the 14x1LH thread.
-FSC47
-Effin-A Comp
-Slant brake
-AK74 Style
-Spikes Dynacomp
-AK Battlecomp

Ace receiver blocks
Internal
External

FAB Defense will soon have these available for milled receivers

I told my friend to buy one since it would get crazy soon so he bought one right after me.

I might buy a couple of brakes since they seem easy to change.

Those fab ones look pretty good. Any idea of when they're coming out? Did a quick search on the ace blocks but it seems I would have to cut off the Tangs to install it.

Any opinions on caa? Seen a guy online who installed it without modifying anything on his milled

Heres a thread regarding the FAB stocks. A few of us asked about the possibility of milled options and they said they were in the works. This is the only info I've seen regarding FAB stocks.

I just remembered that CNC Warrior is also working on milled receiver blocks/extensions. I'd go for one of theirs if you can wait, though Im not sure if theirs requires the removal of a tang, or both.

The CAA and Ace both require removal of the lower tang.

I don't mind having the tang sticking out the back. doesn't look like it gets in the way

I have an Ultimak Gas Tube on my AK and am looking for a lower handguard with a rail so that I can add a AFG.  What do you recommend?  I was looking for an aluminum one, but they all seem to come as a complete set, upper and lower.  How is the Mako or CAA lower handguards?  I know they're polymer so the wanting aluminum is out I guess?

Ultimak makes their own lower rails

Yeah, they definitely cost a lot.

Sorry, just thought I'd throw it out there.

Essential AK Mods? ???

Get a bunch of milspec magazines, and put a sling on it.  The AKs strengths are ruggedness and simplicity.  If you want to trick out a rifle, get an AR......

Decided the PRO could go on the AK after seeing the specs of RS regulate's new line of side mounts. The AK-301 mount and the accompanying 30mm aimpoint ring should be here after the SHOT show is over.

The Tapco G2 is a common trigger upgrade and Red Star arms make a fully adjustable trigger.

Got some of the new products RS Regulate.

AK-301 rail and AKM Aimpoint mount. Pretty amazing compared to some of the other rails I've seen and very light weight.
