Would be real funny if that part of the case gets thrown out because he was unlicensed and therefore did not break the sensitive places law.

Mo betta be unlicensed.

If I’m not mistaken, they charged him with places to keep but no sensitive places charge.
Registered. No CCW. That’s my guess.

Was this 44 yr. old guy doing the "Ainokea" carry?

If he was, I wonder if he "Kea" now......

To me, he too young to do the Ainokea carry.

Ainokea carry is for old futs with one leg in the grave like me.

He looks like he has a screw loose. I don’t think this was self defense as much as some mentally unstable jerk wasting someone over a bruised ego.

I don't think it looks like self defense either.  I hope more information comes out about this incident.  I was hoping this guy was someone who is unable to possess a firearm.

Being that this is Hawaii, the anti-gun establishment will feed off this incident and put legal gun owners in a bad light even though I believe most gun owners are responsible and law abiding citizens.

The best thing that could happen is the public/media picks up on the fact that the law won't stop anyone from having guns in so-called sensitive places no matter how many places are included.

All it does is deprive legal, law-abiding carriers of their right to self defense outside their homes.

And the fact the new law they spent so much time and money crafting and pushing through the process has zero effect unless the person found with a firearm in a sensitive place is licensed to carry concealed.

Makes the case that the state is more concerned with curtailing Constitutionally protected gun rights than actual public safety.
