Legal and Activism / Re: Firearms Confiscation During Crisis
« on: April 17, 2020, 10:33:46 AM »
This is the newest article printed in the HHAA newsletter:

Q:  Can my firearms and ammunition be confiscated during a crisis?

A:  In 2010 a law was passed to protect owners of firearms and ammunition.  Seizure and confiscation are prohibited under state law in a time of a crisis or emergency such as COVID-19.

134-7.2 HRS:  "...no person or government entity shall seize or confiscate, under any civil defense, emergency or disaster relief...or during any time of national emergency or crisis...any firearm or ammunition from any individual who is lawfully permitted to carry or possess the firearm or ammunition...."

There is also a federal confiscation prohibition (42 US Code Sec. 5207)

Well, whoda' thunk it in this state?
I am sure your Police Chief and State's Attorneys office would ignore that.

My own personal range, carry everywhere, don't need to register anything except NFA.

Which I have a few of now.

Loving it!

I see life behind enemy lines is getting worse.

But Rapback awaits your return.

This!!

So I was on a gun buying spree before Rapback. As soon as it was in effect I bought zero.  I bought 80% kits, seven of them, and never touched them until I got back here.  I have also bought two firearms since arriving back in Georgia.

I am sure the gun shops over there have suffered because of Rapback as well.

Yabbut, unless i was over a gas tank of gas away from Atlanta, do not feel I would be comfortable in Georgia.

Or any mainland state, in proximity to a city with inner-city types, for that matter.

Augusta and the Central Savannah River Area is about 1 million people but that is spread out.  I live 45 miles West of Augusta so I am not near anything.  Still about 2 hours East of Atlanta.  When I am on my property the only thing I hear are the whispering pines.

Georgia. (This post is not meant to brag but for some others to realize Hawaii is not a free state)

Walked into Probate court.  Showed them my Georgia drivers license and within 20 mins my CCW application was done.  2 weeks later I got my permit in the mail.  No class, no wait, no BS from the police department.

I ordered a Canik TP9SFX on Tuesday online.  Gun arrived today at the FFL.  Paid $20 and because I had a CCW there is no background check.  I still had to fill out a 4473 but here in the state of Georgia if you have a CCW then your background check is already completed.

Literally took 5 mins.

This is the way all 50 states should be even though I think the 4473 and the CCW is an encroachment as well.

This was just to add to the collection.

25 miles from me.  She tried to run at first and then turned herself in.  What an idiot.

I did not say Hawaii was the only S-hole in America.
Fortunately the government here is so incompetent,
us rural guys can pretty much ignore Oahu.
Besides I really don't miss the yearly chore
of chopping 3 cords of wood for the winter, if I relocated.
I intend to stick around and do as much I can to legally destroy
the state government, OHA, and county government.

In celebration of moving out of the state.  :shaka:

I've lived here 18 years or so.  Hawaii IS a  third world S-hole.
Guam is about as crooked as can be but is a far better example
of a functional government than Hawaii.
Guam at least recognizes the 2nd amendment.

Started a new job last week.  Sat at my desk and started a conversation with a guy next to me.  Mentioned we just moved from Hawaii and his first question to me was "The police and government still corrupt over there?"

I just said "yes and the Police Chief is under Federal charges".

He said "Some things never change".

Elders was a drunk/high thug who picked on the wrong person after running his mouth.

That was a stand your ground case but the screwed up laws in Hawaii don't allow humans to protect themselves from thugs.  Hence why the local thugs go around pounding their chests.

I know people that do so in Waianae.  I imagine a lot would depend on the neighbors.  Here on the Big Island, I shoot on my 3 acre property regularly and hear couple of my other neighbors doing so too.  No one around here really cares.  On the other hand, I have a friend who has 50 acres and if he did shoot, I am sure neighbors would complain.  The difference is where I live  the properties are full of trees and you can't see your neighbors.  Where he lives is all pasture land and you can easily see your neighbors.  Like they say in the real estate business, Location, Location, Location.

I am taking that it is legal though.  No city limits type of law that you would be violating?

Just violating people's feelings.

Typical Hawaii politician.  Doesn't even know the law that they are trying to cite or in this case not even a clue that there is a law.

What a waste of votes.
