After seeing what the clock actually looks like I don't blame the teacher for calling it in but it could have been handled better.  You can thank the liberals for the no tolerance policy that get's kids kicked out of school for bringing a letter opener to class or having a butter knife in their truck.
Agree on that.   Let's not forget the WV kid suspended and arrested for wearing a NRA shirt, little kids suspended for eating a piece of bread that looked like a pistol and other over-reactions.   Unless that photo is the aftermath of want the clock looked , it sure looks like something other than a regular clock.   Imagine if that device was found at HNL or the White house lawn, somebody would definitely have been arrested and guarans Barry wouldn't be inviting the arrestee to the West Wing especially if he was an evangelical Christian wearing a NRA hat.

our country has made up for the mishap, i think the positive response by our country is something to cheer about, but had he not been arrested he wouldn't have gotten the opportunities offered by the president, zuckerberg, and MIT that he now has on his platter.  A negative situation turning positive...that is something to talk about.   :shaka:

"See something, say something" was started to encourage people to get involved. It was an attempt to get the public to be less complacent and report to law enforcement things that "just don't look right."

The campaign had as its foundation the deaths of thousands of people at the hands of Muslim Terrorists.

So, if we are going to ridicule and call people racists, Islamaphobes, idiots and paranoids for doing exactly what the campaign told us to do, then what message is that sending to Americans?

What I find interesting is everyone thought it was a bomb yet the school wasn't evacuated or anything of that sort from the reports I've seen.

What if the response to the so-called clock was exactly what the father of the Muslim kid hoped for?

Quote
The New York Daily News reported that Mohamed’s father, Mohamed ElHassan, has a history of
making the news by “standing up” for his faith.

“One of the earliest instances of the standout citizen making national news was in 2011, when he
sensationally stood up to an anti-Islamic pastor and defended the Koran as its defense attorney.
That mock trial at a Florida church ended with the book’s burning, to ElHassan’s claimed shock,”
the Daily News reported.

Apparently “standout citizen” and troublemaker now mean the same thing, at least to the Daily News.

ElHassan also ran for president of Sudan, his homeland, in 2010. He ran again this year from his home in Texas.

ElHassan appeared to be milking every second of airtime out of this controversy he can possibly get.
He has taken an innocent mistake and blown it way out of proportion, making some wonder if perhaps
he staged this whole event just for the publicity.

Wait, what?  A muzz perpetrating a hoax to provoke a response so he could scream racism (although muzz is not a race) and persecution?

Say it ain't so, no more than a homosexual would set up a phony attack on themselves, or a minority set up a fake "hate crime".............

Those things just do not happen.......... ;D

The components of the clock were NOT something the kid built.  It was a commercial clock disassembled and installed in a pencil box without the original case.

More specifics on the actual clock used (best guess):

Well I think something about this story stinks and it's not cause Hillary forgot to wipe.
Same goes with the guy asking Trump about Barry being a Muslim.  I think the guy was a plant the way his question was worded.
No one needs to defend Barry.

This little Jackoff tried to make it look like a bomb.

A) He should be punished for his actions.

B) The media should stop glamorizing these little terrorist, attention seekers. Quietly deport them.

C)  President Obama, Mark Zuckerberg and The President of MIT should all apologize to America for jumping on the "Islamophobia" bandwagon, and for being stupid enough to be taken in by these two scammers.

They don't owe an apology to America, they should just rescind their invitations to this boy. The media reported it one way and people reacted to what was said in the news. From the initial news report it was not obvious the boy was doing something wrong. I was suspicious of the story but it is entirely plausible that a teacher over reacted.

They owe us an apology for being so quick to believe this was an overreaction based on ethnicity and religious affiliation BEFORE WAITING FOR ALL THE FACTS.  This is not the first time Obama has done this.  The stupid "beer summit" with the white Cop was an apology.  He needs to apologize to us all for continually stating an opinion (in this case, trying to go the next step and give the "victim" special privileges) with no other facts than what's in the news.

Obama was WRONG about the officer arresting the professor.
He was WRONG about Trayvon Martin.
He was WRONG about Mike Brown.
He was WRONG about this student, based on the latest analysis.

And the only reason Obama weighed in so quickly on these issues is ........... ?

No, he's doing more than looking foolish.  He's driving a wedge between Americans everywhere he can.  Playing the minority and Islamophobe cards are not things our President should be doing at all, particularly when there has been no time to get all the facts.

He doesn't want the facts.  Just like he doesn't want them after a shooting event.  He has an agenda when these stories happen, and he's too quick to push those agendas when most of the time they are not related to the real stories.

If you don't feel he's done anything to apologize to YOU for, that's okay.  I think most of us who see his MO in these situations feel we are being manipulated and scammed into believing the divisive rhetoric he wraps these stories in.

He's not acting foolishly.  He's doing this on purpose.
