That's what people forget for defensive training is being some what in shape.
Yeah, I had a very physical job when I was still working. Still not the same as actual exercising but now that I'm retired, I am very concerned about my physical fitness.
I'm an old fut but I want to be as fit as possible. My wife and I will soon be empty nesters and it will only be us too, just like how we met 43 years ago......

Anyway, I do some free weight lifting and I do an hour on the elliptical machine everyday. I try to stretch my limbs daily and do pushups and sit ups. I f*ckn hate sit ups......
Running is hard for me. My knees are really fucked up. Last time they were giving me a hard time I went to the Dr. and she said there hardly is any bone or cartilage where there should be, lol!
Funny though, the last time I saw a cane spider I ran just fine.

Anyway, just my paranoia but it seems when my wife and I are out and about we do look like the perfect couple a f*ckn lowlife would want to mess with. So I figure at least be fit enough to have a chance for my wife to call 911 and run to safety while I try to act like Bruce Lee.
And some firearms training would come in handy for HD and the very very slim chance in the future we would be able to CCW.
