The irony of someone zealously advocating for a land to be "given back" to a group of people based purely on race, only to accuse others of making assumptions based on race, too.
Your ideas of how Hawaii only belongs to Hawaiians is outdated.
You are confusing the goals of Hawaiian nationals with some Indigenous group like Native American Indians. Hawaii was and still is a sovereign nation state that is being illegally occupied by the US empire.
When I refer to Hawaiian nationals, I am not talking just about aboriginal Hawaiians, but all people that can trace their descendants back as citizens of the Hawaiian Kingdom regardless of race or ethnicity.
If you think schools excluding non-Hawaiian kids, political autonomy being given only to people of Hawaiian descent, and any other suggestion that includes only those same people isn't racist, you need to take a step back.
What the Bishop Estate does with their money for education is a private business matter that has nothing to do with Hawaiian nationals working for the de-occupation of their country.
Just like reparations for slavery in the US, it's dividing the population based on race -- nothing more, nothing less.
How is that not racial discrimination (what most people call "racist" out of ignorance)?
I think you are approaching this issue from an incorrect perspective. You say, "how can Hawaiian nationals working towards for the restoration of their nation state be dividing a population or something racist?"
What population is being divided?
What group are Hawaiian nationals being racist towards?
